Proof of Claim Deadline Set in Bat, Inc. Bankruptcy Case

Richmond, Virginia.  On May 1, 2009, Bat, Inc., doing business as Anderson Trucking, filed for protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in Richmond Bankruptcy Court.  The case was assigned to Judge Kevin Huennekens. 

Per the company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition, it has between 1 and 49 creditors, assets of $500,000 to $1 million, and owes creditors between $1 million and $100 million.

The debtor is represented by David K. Spiro of Hirschler Fleisher.  Having filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the Bankruptcy Court will oversee the reorganization of Bat, Inc.

Bat, Inc.’s primary business is trucking and transportation.  Companies in the trucking and transportation industry have been severely impacted by the recession and the unpredictable nature of fuel costs.
